LUKA'S ROOM    by Rob Mersola

Scenic Design: John Iacovelli

Sound Design: Christopher Moscatiello
Video Design: Nicholas E. Santiago
Costume Design: Michele Young
Violence Design: Ned Mochel
Stage Manager: Ramón Valdez
Assistant Director: Aaron Lane Newman

Running Time: Luka's Room runs approximately 100 minutes.
After his father runs out of money, Luka is forced to transfer from Arizona State to Valley College and move in with his eccentric Grandma Franca. He shares the house with his recently paroled uncle, an old-school thug ready to start earning again. When Luka falls hard for Uncle Nick’s beautiful and damaged “acquaintance” Angie, his loyalty, innocence, and self-worth are tested.

Playwright Mersola’s strengths are in high-concept plotting that neatly connects apparently unrelated tangents… Under Joshua Bitton’s no-nonsense staging the four principal actors make their roles vivid, believable and funny.

“Luka’s Room” is a compelling production that takes an episodic approach to a timely subject. With it’s talented cast who deliver spot-on performances, it is edgy theater that definitely should not be missed.
- Hollywood Revealed

Joshua Bitton, who starred in both of Mersola’s previous comedies, takes over directorial reins for Luka’s Room, and splendidly so, coaxing just-right performances from an all-around stellar cast.
